Coverartwork should relate to the music video, usually. We'd been talking about that for a while now. The song definitely warrants one. It's just... a long song. With a second part. Lots of work. For two people with no budget. But yeah, we really wanna. We had a couple ideas floating around - from "let's do something without CGI" to "oooor let's do everything except the person CGI". I guess one day we'll make a thing that's purely cool camera and lenses and light and no 3D graphics... But it is not this day. We ended up watching some old music videos - "A&E" by Goldfrapp, "Ray of Light" by Madonna, "No Scrubs" by TLC - and ended up with a concept for the first part of the song that possibly probably is going to be it: different 3D environments with the main character in various outfits. Maybe some space and stars and... zero gravity, obviously. But we can't really do floating or something, we don't have the means for that. And talking about means: I need to sort through my clothes now. I do own some interesting things but the wardrobe really needs to be out of this world and I can't buy too much new stuff. And the 3D graphics need to match the outfits, so those will be the starting point for the overall look of the video, nolens volens. What I'm doing now, as a side project, is taking pictures of all my clothes and sorting them into this wardrobe organizing app, "Indyx". Wanted to do that anyway but now it's going to be so helpful to plan out the looks for the video. #0g #songrealeaseprocess #music #musicmaking #musicvideo

Cards number 5 Two cards every second week, except during the holidays. Back to school means back to cards and this week is quite packed, so I was in a pinch. It's fun but also a challenge! Still the reward system works for the kids and they have a little treat to look forward to at the end of the week. #kidscards

So we're working on this song. Long story, loooong genesis, if you will. But by now it's maybeee 75% finished... Or 65. Who knows. But it's pretty likely it will get finished (this time). Actually we kinda have to finish it now because we talked about it on the radio... We had our interview at OEins radio station and that settled the date for the release: September 16th. So it has to be finished by then. Moreover there needs to be a cover artwork. So immediately on the train from Oldenburg I started to scribble an idea for an artwork. Gasher gave it the OK. Sea

I really really like the Sea. I used to find it a little cheesy when people said they love the Sea, miss the Sea, need to witness the Sea again. But last year we travel to Rostock and took a brief trip to the Ostsee and I got really excited. The sand under my bare feet. The scent of kelp. The touch of cool waves on my legs. I tried my best to not fall for it, not stay too long. The thought of visiting the Sea again stayed with me, though. And this year we decided to go to Oldenburg and include a day trip to the Nordsee. And it was marvelous once again. The fresh breeze. The Sea hidden behind the elevation of a dike. Seagulls, beach grass. I imagine I could spend a whole day by the Sea. Sehnsucht for a Ferienwohnung. I took home a glass with water and a glass with sand. #traveling
